  1. The author uses his first hand knowledge to accuratly describe the events that took place and he uses his knowledge of the Bible to give background information. He, also, describes the characters through both indirect and direct characterizationAnd uses figurative language to help describe events and tobjects in the book.

  2. since the book is a true story the author could use great techniques such as great knowledge or figurative language to describe the characters and events. and like hunter said the author uses knowledge of the Bible very much throughout the book.

  4. The author in this book keeps you going from his perspective from what was happening in the time that he wrote it. He progresses things in and doesn't just flat out say them. It made me want to keep reading.
