Colton had just introduced a whole new topic: people you've lost, and meeting them in heaven." pg. 86 The importance of this passage is it shows that we meet our loved ones in Heaven again and is also a changing point in Mr. Burpo's view of Heaven and shows how Colton affects Mr. Burpo's vision of Heaven.
colton told ali, "when i was little, i had surgery and i went up to heaven and saw my sister." pg.129 the importance of this passage is that it shows that colton REALLY did visit heaven and that he can describe everything and everyone that he saw. also like hunter said it shows that we do meet our loved ones again when we get to heaven.
"I yelled at God 'You're going to take my son?'" (40) This the straw that breaks the camels back for Todd. Todd had a lot of bad things happening to him but he can blow it off. When his son becomes gravely ill he cannot take it anymore. This shows that he's a fatherly figure and cares for his family a lot.
